New Project
This two story, 2900 square foot residence under construction in Menlo Park is modern but compatible with its neighbors.  It has energy-saving and architectural features, including a south-facing two story orientation with extensive glazing, a split level ground floor with thermal mass concrete lower level, and heavy roof insulation and roof  ventilation, to promote passive solar heating and cooling.  It has second floor skylights coupled with a partially glass second floor stair landing and high efficiency indirect lighting to reduce lighting energy use.  Its architectural features include a welcoming garden wall  “moongate,” a second floor master suite balcony, high sloping ceilings in many rooms ( the Living Room is actually overlooked by the upper stair landing).  Safety features include non-combustible exterior siding and roofing and a fire sprinkler and alarm system.
